Intro Course 1
Introduction to Mindful Eating in 3 Sessions Online
based on MB-EAT

Course Content

This course is given in a warm, kind atmosphere. Aiming to introduce you to relating to food with a non-judgmental and loving mind. It is comprised of tools for developing a loving relationship with yourself, your body, and your food.

Based on the 12 session MB-EAT evidence-based course, you will benefit from qualitative support in a short version.

In each session a new exercise is introduced. We will explore your experiences with sweet and savoury foods and with physical hunger.

You will benefit from audio and written support and be encouraged to bring mindfulness into your daily life from day one.

Exchanges with the other participants in groups and face to face may enrich your experience.

After the Course...

At the end of the three sessions you will have experienced personal mindful experiences with food. This supports insight in your future eating behavior.

You will be provided with tools to start listening benevolently to your bodily signals in relation to the act of eating and approach physical hunger with more clarity.

You can continue to practice the exercises at home and develop self-care and mindfulness.

Before you leave, you'll have time to ask questions and plan your future.

Content

This MB-EAT course has been structured to help develop a harmonious relationship with oneself, one's body and food. MB-EAT is probably the only course that you will find on mindful eating with so much research to support it.

This is the evidence based course that has been researched and developed by Dr. Jean Kristeller's team for 20 years.

MB-EAT involves practical experiences, group discussions and mindfulness practices.

MB-EAT encourages awareness of eating behaviour and lifestyle in daily life so that participants may build the possibility to change attitudes or behaviour.

Each participant benefits from many audio and written tools.

At the root MB-EAT aims to enable inner wisdom, greater sensitivity to sensory signals, self-compassion and self-love.

Nutritional, non-guilt-inducing, scientifically based support is provided as well as a mindful approach to physical activity.

Time and practice are important to enable installing durable changes. MB-EAT, comprised of 10 consecutive sessions + 2 follow-ups spread over a period of 4 to 5 months, provides a novel approach and essentiel time and pratice necessary to assist in creating lifestyle changes.

After the Course...

Many scientists note that dieting and the practice of restrictive diets have produced little long-term convincing results. This training gives the opportunity to break free from the diet mindset and to develop flexible solutions to the food choices of everyday life.

MB-EAT encourages:

  • developing insight and acceptance in the present moment
  • managing your response to dynamic emotional states
  • making healthier and conscious food choices
  • regaining your awareness of hunger and satiety cues,
  • cultivating self-acceptance
  • improving your sense of self-control with regard to eating
  • Reducing guilt, shame and food fears
  • Establishing a joyful and healthy relationship with food over time
  • Reducing emotional eating
  • Learning to manage yourself through your own feelings and needs rather than emotional or external stimuli
  • Physical activity

Since each participant decides on their own evolution throughout the course, this list is neither guaranteed nor complete because progress depends on the investment and the nature of the participants.
